Charles Hugh Myers, age 63 of Loganville died Tuesday, July 12, 2005. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Thursday, July 14, 2005 at Corinth Christian Church, Loganville, with remains placed in state at 1:00 PM. Minister Don Hardison, Dr. Preston Moore, and Minister Lester Waters will officiate. Burial Corinth Memorial Gardens, Loganville. Decatur City Fire Department employees will serve as Honorary Pallbearers. A retired fireman with the City of Decatur Fire Department, a member of Decatur Masonic Lodge, a graduate of Loganville High School, and a member of Corinth Christian Church, Mr. Myers was also a member of the 101st Airborne, a Lifelong resident of Walton County and he remodeled houses, did painting and was a contractor. Mr. Myers enjoyed serving others in need and gardening and sharing his garden with others. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles Thomas Myers, and his parents, Richard H. and Mary G. Myers. Mr. Myers is survived by: Wife of 25 years: Judy Thomas, Monroe; Children: Dr. Richard Kelley & Dr. April Myers, Marion, Arkansas; Michael Ryan & Shelly Myers; Brothers & Sisters-in-law: Herbert “Bo” & Mary Jean Myers, Donald & Marie Myers, Terry & Betty Myers, all of Loganville; Sisters & Brothers-in-law: Katherine & Donald Thomas, Monroe; Janet & Dr. Preston Moore, Suwanee; Betty & Carroll Rutledge, Lilburn; Molly & Spencer Baxley, Patty Caldwell Myers, Sandra & Joe Johnson, Kay & Jackie Smith, all of Loganville; Grandchildren: George Andrew Myers, Luke Franklin Myers, both of Marion, Arkansas; Several nieces & nephews, and great nieces & great nephews aslo survive. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Corinth Christian Church Building Fund, 1635 Highway 81, Loganville, Georgia 30052.
