Winder man accused of stabbing
BUFORD - A Winder man was arrested Tuesday on charges he stabbed his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend at a house on Mimosa Drive in Buford.
James Brian Taylor, 36, allegedly came to the back door of his ex-girlfriend's house and got into an argument with her. The ex-girlfriend claimed he threw her down a flight of concrete stairs and grabbed her cell phone away when she attempted to call police. Taylor then cut her several times while trying to stab her in the arm and head, according to police reports.
The ex-girlfriend's new love interest allegedly was stabbed in the stomach by Taylor when he attempted to intervene. The new boyfriend told police he produced a pocket knife and stabbed Taylor in the chest in self-defense.
Taylor was hospitalized, but Taylor's ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend were not seriously injured. Taylor faces a charge of aggravated assault.
Woman finds naked stranger in home
DORAVILLE - A Doraville woman arrived at her home on Deborah Drive on Tuesday to find a naked stranger showering in her bathroom, according to police reports.
Two other residents who heard a disturbance opened the bathroom door to find their roommate arguing with the naked Latino man. While the occupants were waiting for police to arrive, the man got dressed, exited the house through a back door and fled on a miniature motorcycle.
The suspect is described as a Latino man in his mid-30s, about 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds. The victim told police she had seen the man hanging around the neighborhood, and she thought his name might be "Charlie."
Man carjacked in Lawrenceville
LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville man was carjacked Wednesday at Herrington Woods Apartments on Herrington Road.
The victim told police he had met the suspect at a party the night before the carjacking. The suspect asked him to drive to several locations.
The victim agreed. While they were leaving Herrington Woods apartments, the suspect produced a handgun and told the victim "he wasn't playing," according to police reports. The robber ordered the victim to drop his cell phone on the floorboard and get out of the car, a 1991 Toyota Corolla, or he would be shot.
The suspect was described as a 6-foot-tall black man weighing 170 pounds who went by the names "Jay" and "Trennell."
