WINDER - A Barrow County Commission District 4 candidate meet-and-greet scheduled for Thursday has been moved up an hour.
The question period, allowing District 4 residents to question candidates Isaiah "Coach" Berry and Frank Clark about what they would do if elected to the Board of Commissioners July 12, will take place at 6 p.m. at the Westside Middle School cafeteria. It was originally scheduled for 7 p.m.
Each candidate will give a five-minute speech about his platform before answering questions.
In the June 21 special election to choose a commissioner, Berry had 272 votes, or 44 percent while Clark garnered 149 votes, or 24 percent to make it into a runoff. Deborah Morgan received 20 percent of the vote with 124 votes, and Frank Griffith took 11 percent with 70 votes.
Early voting is now taking place. Regular voting for residents in District 4 will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 12.
