Mr. U.L. (Groucho) Croft, age 81, of Lawrenceville, Georgia, died on January 30, 2005 at Emory Eastside Medical Center from pulmonary fibrosis. He was a Veteran of WWII serving as Tech Sgt with the 87th Infantry Div. He received a purple heart as a result of injuries received in the Battle of the Bulge. He was a member of IBEW LU613 for over 50 years. He was preceded in death by parents Lewis and Era Croft, son Troy Croft and sister Mary Fleeman. Survivors: wife Verdie Croft, stepson and wife, Don and Phyllis Pruitt, Lilburn, GA, stepson, Patrick Baxley, Dothan, AL, sisters, Doris Hornsby, Welaka, FL and Twilla Rollins, Lawrenceville, GA, grandson, Brent Croft, granddaughters, Chaunta York, Marjorie Dawn Pruitt, Lynn Tillman, and daughter-in-law: Dorothy Croft. He attended the First United Methodist Church of Lawrenceville. A military graveside service for Mr. Croft will be held on Wednesday, February 2, at 11:00 a.m. at Crestlawn Memorial Park at 2000 Marietta Bouvevard, NW, Atlanta, 30318. Rev.
