Vernell “Nell” Campbell Rutledge, age 88 of Snellville died Tuesday, January 18, 2005. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 21, 2005 at Lenora Baptist Church, Snellville. Rev. Terry Briscoe and Dr. Russ Shinpoch will officiate. Burial Lenora Baptist Church, Snellville. Mrs. Rutledge was a homemaker, a member of Lenora Baptist Church in Snellville, and the Rosebud Club, she was an accomplished seamstress and loved making quilts for her family and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Rutledge in 1988 and her son-in-law, Jimmy Thomas in 1996. Survivors include: Children: Betty Thomas, Larry & Janice Rutledge, all of Snellville; Grandchildren: Terri & Ted Kimbrell, Suwanee; Scott & Beth Thomas, Canton; Tommy & Tricia Rutledge, Grayson; Christie & Kevin Byrd, Cumming; Stephen & Mimi Rutledge, Snellville; Great Grandchildren: Kellie Thomas, Marissa Thomas, Jeremy Rutledge, Ian Kimbrell, Lauren Rutledge, Caroline Byrd, Dawson Rutledge; Several Nieces & Nephews; Special Friend and CareGiver: Rita Adams, Conyers; Family will receive friends from 2-4 PM and from 6-9 PM, Thursday, January 20, 2005 at the Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 2246 Wisteria Drive, Snellville, GA 30078.
