Vincent D. Miles Jr., 86, of Lawrenceville, GA, formerly of Langhorne, PA died on Wednesday, February 23, 2005, in Lawrenceville, GA. Born in Philadelphia, Mr. Miles was a resident of the Feasterville and Trevose area for over 52 years; a life-long resident of the Delaware Valley before moving to Lawrenceville, GA in 2002. Vince was a proud Veteran of WW II having served as a Sergeant in the US Army, Medical Supply Division, assigned to the Queen Mary for three trans-Atlantic voyages. After his honorable discharge from the Army, Vince began his career with the railroad. He retired in 1981 after 41 years as Director of Accounting with the Reading Railroad and 5 years as Manager of Disbursements with Amtrak. He also served as Treasurer for the Reading Employees Association. Mr. Miles was a Member and Financial Secretary for the Robert V. Hennessey Council #6145 Knights of Columbus since 1961, and a member of the Archbishop Wood Association 4th Degree Knight Assembly, as well as a Faithful Navigator. He served as the Auditor for the Knights of Columbus State Convention since 1977. Vince was active in his community and participated on many different boards and organizations including Past President and member of St. Bede's Young at Heart Club and Assumption BVM Senior Citizens. Son of the late Vincent D. Sr. and Marie Carney Miles, and beloved husband of the late Mona Guthrie Miles, he is survived by his loving children Vincent D. Miles III and his wife Alice of Bristol, PA, Philip B. Miles and his wife Eileen, of Lawrenceville, GA, and Gary L. Miles and his wife Barbara of Langhorne, PA. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing, Monday, February 28, 2005, from 9:30AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Assumption B.V.M. Church 1900 Meadowbrook Rd, Feasterville, PA. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mary Medical Center Foundation, Langhorne Newtown Road, Langhorne, PA 19047. Arrangements Joseph A.
