Mrs. Bernice Johnson Kennedy, age 89, was born in Suwanee, Georgia to the parents of Marshall L. and Ruth Hall Johnson on August 25, 1915. She met Ralph Kennedy at Old Field Baptist School and Church. She married J. Ralph Kennedy of Suwanee. They made their home in Suwanee where they had several businesses and raised their family. Mrs. Kennedy was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. J. Ralph Kennedy and son, Lloyd Kennedy. Surviving are her: Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Joyce K. and Roger Earley, Suwanee, GA; Rachel K. and Aubrey King, Lawrenceville, GA; Emily K. and Jack Queen, Sugar Hill, GA; Doris K. and Chuck Tarver, Snellville, GA; Dora K. and Larry Johnson, Suwanee, GA; Daughter-in-law: Adair M. Kennedy, Winder, GA; Numerous Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren, Gwinnett and Barrow Counties; Sister: Ilee Johnson Puckett, Suwanee, GA; Sisters-in-Law: Sarah Johnson, Suwanee, GA; Ruth K. Johnson, Lawrenceville, GA; Olivia Kennedy, Suwanee, GA. Mrs. Kennedy was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Suwanee, GA. Funeral service was held Monday, February 14, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Martin officiating. Interment in Level Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery, Suwanee, GA. Arrangements by Flanigan Funeral Home and Crematory of Buford, GA 770-932-1133.
