LAWRENCEVILLE - Arson was the cause of the fire that destroyed a Dacula home Tuesday evening, said Gwinnett firefighters.
Officials arrived at 3547 Braselton Highway to find smoke and flames pouring out of an unoccupied two-story house, said Thomas Rutledge, Gwinnett County Fire Department spokesman. The homeowners were in Florida at the time, and no injuries were reported, but the blaze caused significant damage. Investigators are asking anyone with information to call the Georgia Arson Control hotline at 1-800-282-5804. A reward of up to $10,000 is offered by Georgia Arson Control for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the responsible party.More like this story
