This weekend offers one last chance to celebrate the holidays with the Sanders family at Theatre in the Square. "Sanders Family Christmas" will be performed at 8 p.m. today and Saturday at the theater, which is located at 11 Whitlock Ave. in Marietta.
The show, which is a sequel to "Smoke on the Mountain," follows the singing Sanders family as they return to North Carolina for Christmas. Set in 1941, "Sanders Family Christmas" includes more than two dozen holiday songs.

If your New Year's resolutions include getting involved with community theater, Gwinnett is the perfect place to be. Local groups are now preparing for their 2006 productions.
The New Dawn Theater Company will hold auditions for "Prisoner of Second Avenue" at 7 p.m. Tuesday. The auditions will take place at the Aviation Institute of Maintenance, upstairs at the Gwinnett Airport in Lawrenceville.
The play, which was written by Neil Simon, will be performed March 9-12 at the theater at Dacula High School in Dacula.

"Sleuth," a production of the Georgia Ensemble Theatre, will open Jan. 5 and continue through Jan. 22. The play will be performed at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St. in Roswell.
"Sleuth," written by Anthony Shaffer, is the story of a detective novel writer who embarks upon a game of chance. Shannon Eubanks directs the show.
