NORCROSS - The suspicious death of a 36-year-old Norcross woman was ruled a homicide Wednesday, but few details about the incident were made available by police.
Friends found the body of Angela Green at her Wood Chase apartment off Brook Hollow Parkway at 11 p.m. Tuesday. They were able to enter the apartment because the front door had been forced open, according to Officer Darren Moloney, spokesman for Gwinnett County Police Department. The friends immediately called police, who found other "physical signs which made the death suspicious," Moloney said. Moloney declined to elaborate on the condition of the apartment or the body. An autopsy completed by the Gwinnett County Medical Examiner's Office on Wednesday afternoon ruled the death a homicide. "We should have a lot more information by the end of the week," Moloney said. "We're talking to friends and family members. We didn't get the autopsy ruling until the afternoon today, so investigators have a lot of work cut out for them." There was no apparent motive for the slaying. Green reportedly had two children who ranged in age from 5 to 15, but they were not at the apartment when Green was killed, Moloney said. Police believe Green was last seen alive early Tuesday by friends and family members.More like this story
