Layoffs at the Lawrenceville facility on Raco Drive are scheduled to begin Jan. 30. The company could not be reached by Wednesday evening. Some 219 employees will lose their jobs. In November, General Motors Corp. said it was closing its historic Doraville plant. About 2,900 employees still work at the plant, which will be shut down by 2008.More like this story
