The bride is the daughter of Larry H. Long and Beverly B. Long of Canton.
The groom is the son of retired Army Col. Paul Valvo and the late Marguerite Valvo of Stone Mountain.
After a honeymoon trip to St. Lucia, the couple now resides in Suwanee.
Luebben - Parkerson III
Anita Lynn Wright Luebben and Bartow David Parkerson III, both of Lawrenceville, were married on Sept. 3 in Lawrenceville. The Rev. Bill Frisbee officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Theo Pat Wright and Elaine Wright of Birmingham, Ala. She is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she received a master's degree in social work. She is a social worker for Atlanta Radiotherapy Clinics of Georgia.
The groom is the son of Bartow Parkerson and Amelia Parkerson of Greensboro. He is a graduate of West Georgia College, where he received a bachelor's degree in psychology. He works in sales at NTN Wireless.
After a honeymoon trip to Vermont at Mountain Topp Inn, the couple now resides in Lawrenceville.
Cieplinski - Hayes
Marta Bernadette Cieplinski of Jefferson and William Robert Hayes of Harrisburg, Pa., were married on July 16 at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Athens with a reception following at the University of Georgia Museum of Art. Father David McGuinness officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ed and Teresa Cowgill of Jefferson. She is the granddaughter of Antonia Stec and the late Josef Stec of Jefferson, Patricia and Mike Smith of Silt, Colo., and Ed and Carol Cowgill of Point, Ind. She is a 1999 graduate of Commerce High School and a 2005 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is working at Harrisburg Hospital in the neonatal intensive care unit.
The groom is the son of Robert and Pamela Hayes of Snellville. He is the grandson of Mary Hayes and the late Robert Hayes of Pittsfield, Mass., and K. Eugene and Shirley Fry of Moneta, Va. He is a 2000 graduate of Brookwood High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a bachelor's degree in marketing, magna cum laude with honors and a minor in Spanish. He is working in sales for TAC in Pennsylvania.
Sister of the bride, Nicole Cowgill of Jefferson served as the bride's maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Crystal Bolt of Okatie, S.C., Katrina Calderwood of Grovetown, Randi Hander of Alpharetta and Jennifer Tomasini of Norcross. Kelly Marie Cowgill of Midlothian, Ill., served as the flowergirl.
Andrew Kee of Tucker served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were brothers of the groom, Nicholas Hayes of Smyrna, Daniel Hayes of Snellville, Michael Hayes of Snellville and brother of the bride, Mario Cieplinski of Jefferson. Forrest Luscier of Pittsfield, Mass., served as the ringbearer.
