NORCROSS - The SWAT team was called in to arrest a man Saturday night after police responded to a domestic violence call and the man refused to leave.
Gwinnett police successfully evacuated the wife and child of Ashante Morris before Morris barricaded himself in his Brookwood condo off Holcomb Bridge Road and refused to leave, said Gwinnett police Cpl. Lou Gregoire. After an hour of attempted negotiations, Gwinnett police called in the SWAT team, which persuaded Morris via loudspeaker to exit the condo. He was then arrested and charged with aggravated assault, Gregoire said.More like this story
