The casual restaurant is divided into two sections with separate entrances. The to-go side has a counter for picking up takeout orders, while the dine-in entrance leads to the dining room.
The dining room is decorated in shades of blue. The vinyl tablecloths depict a nautical theme. The clock behind the cash register has been framed with a life preserver. Each table holds bottles of ketchup, cocktail sauce, tartar sauce and malt vinegar, as well as a napkin dispenser.
•The food: The menu at Shrimp & Co. features a variety of seafood.
"Of course, our specialty is shrimp," said LuAnn Osborne. She is Bryant's partner.
The house shrimp, which are lightly breaded and fried, are popular. Catfish, flounder, scallops, oysters, tilapia and crab claws are also available. "People love our portion sizes," Osborne said.
The restaurant's all-you-can-eat seafood specials are a customer favorite.
Each meal at Shrimp & Co. begins with a basket of hush puppies. "I've had people come in and order just hush puppies, because they're that good," Osborne said.
