Winfred M. Burt, age 73, of Lilburn, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, November 30th, 2005. He was a graduate of William Carey College in Hattiesburg, MS with a degree in Education. He served in the Army during the Korean War. He pastored his first church in DeRidder, LA. Winfred had taught school in Gwinnett County for many years. He was currently employed with 23 years of service with Pest USA. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Morris & Mary Elizabeth Burt. His survivors include his wife: Lena Birdsong Burt of Lilburn, GA; children: Jennifer Lee & Michael Robert McCormack of Cornelius, NC; Judith Amelia & Mark D. Watkins of Lawrenceville, GA; brothers: Davis & Louise Burt of Silver Creek, MS; Thomas & Laura Burt of Blue Ridge, GA; sisters: Merlene & Clifton Smith of Hurley, MS; Ruth Hazel Carver of East Point, GA; grandchildren: Chelsea Kaylee McCormack; Anna Nicole Watkins; Chloe Elizabeth McCormack; uncle: Howard Burt of Columbia, MS; He also has several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 3rd, 2005 at 3:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Dr. Frank Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Gwinnett Memorial Park in Lawrenceville. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, December 3rd from 12:00 p.m. til 3:00 p.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, 1031 Lawrenceville Highway, Lawrenceville, 770-277-4550.
