Immucor to restate '05 income

NORCROSS - Norcross-based Immucor said it was restating its 2005 net income after discovering it had not accounted for all company bonuses.

Immucor, whose technology is used in the blood transfusion industry, also said Tuesday it has accepted the resignation of Chief Financial Officer Steven C. Ramsey. Patrick Waddy, the company's vice president of finance, will take the role of interim CFO.

In August, Immucor reported a record fourth-quarter profit of $9.2 million and $24.9 million in net income for its 2005 fiscal year ending May 31. But Immucor on Tuesday lowered those earnings to $8.5 million in the fourth quarter and $23.9 million for the year.
