LAWRENCEVILLE - A Kentucky man was sentenced Friday for crossing state lines to have sex with a minor. Chris Becker, 53, of Shelbyville, Ky., was sentenced to 10 years in prison followed by six years of supervised release for coming to Buford in February to have sex with a 9-year-old girl. He will also be required to do 120 hours of community service. Becker thought he was talking to the girl's mother in an online chat room but had really been communicating with an undercover FBI agent as part of the Safe Child Task Force. He asked about the possibility of meeting the woman and her daughter to engage in sexual activity with both, according to an FBI press release. Agents found stuffed animals, condoms and lubricant in Becker's hotel room. At the time of the trip, Becker was residing in Franklin, Tenn.More like this story
