HomeBanc Mortgage Corp. celebrated the grand opening of its largest branch on Tuesday. The new lending center on Mall of Georgia Boulevard will employ about 90 loan officers and other personnel. On hand for the ribbon cutting: Brian T. Karr, Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce; Derick Corbett with U.S. Rep. John Linder's office; Richard Staley, HomeBanc Mortgage Corp. sales manager; Lou Sarris, HomeBanc's northeast Atlanta sales manager; Amir Davari, branch store manager; and Melissa Hoggatt, senior vice president and director of operations in Georgia.
Honors and Achievements
Quantum Capital Corp., parent company of Quantum National Bank in Suwanee, has been ranked by the ABA Banking Journal in the top one percent of community banks with consolidated assets between $100 million and $3 billion dollars in its July "Top Performers" issue. The ABA Banking Journal is a monthly magazine of the American Bankers Association, which has been published continuously since 1908.
Wachovia Corp. has named Jennifer Gavre mortgage banking executive for Wachovia Mortgage Corp.'s Georgia region. She will be responsible for growing Wachovia's mortgage business in the state by recruiting more than 200 new mortgage consultants in the Georgia market.
Wachovia Corp. also named Mike Donnelly retail banking executive for the state of Georgia.
Donnelly will oversee the company's retail and small business sales and service efforts throughout Wachovia's Georgia territory.
