Madell Brown Gaddy, 75, of Snellville died Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Wesley Woods Hospital. She was born August 28. 1929 in Atlanta. She graduated from Atlanta Girls High School in 1947, its last class, and obtained her nursing degree in 1950 from Grady Hospital School of Nursing. She worked for the American Red Cross and Several Atlanta area hospitals retiring from Humane Hospital in Snellville. Madell selflessly and generously gave of herself to those she loved and the many patients she nursed over her lifetime. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Bill Gaddy, Jr., Snellville; son Bill Gaddy, III (Barbara) and grandson, Maverick Gaddy of St. Petersburg, Fla; and her son Clarke Gaddy; brother, Wallace G. Brown (Cynthia); all of Snellville; sister Eugenia B. Abernathy, Alpharetta, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In memory of Madell a service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2005, 11:00 am in the chapel of the Snellville United Methodist Church.
