NORCROSS - Greater Atlanta Christian rebounded from Wednesday's 1-0 loss to Northgate by pounding Mary Persons 17-0 Thursday night in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic at GAC.
Jessica Coan fired her fourth career no-hitter, striking out 12 over six innings. Julio Stephens drove in four runs by going 2-for-5 while Janey Elrod was 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Kensi Weir was 3-for-4 with three RBIs for GAC (1-1) while Rebekah Osteen finished 2-for-4 with three RBIs. GAC will host Parkview tonight at 7 p.m.
North 6, Forsyth Central 4
HOSCHTON - North Gwinnett topped Forsyth Central 6-4 Thursday night in a rain-shortened game at Mill Creek High School in the second round of the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic.
Stacey Condra led North's offense with a pair of doubles, a run and an RBI. Condra also notched the win on the mound, allowing four runs (two earned) over five innings with six strikeouts. Haley Engelberth added a 2-for-2 night with a run and an RBI for North (2-0).
Shiloh 2, St, Pius 1
DACULA - Shiloh evened its record at 1-1 by nipping St. Pius 2-1 Thursday night in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic at Dacula High School.
Gretchen Eigel hurled a complete game to pick up the win while Amber Piatt led the offense with an RBI double. Ellyce Anderson also went 2-for-3 for the Generals while India Austin was 1-for-4. Shiloh will play Heritage today at 5 p.m. at Dacula.

Eagle's Landing 0
GRAYSON - Callie Fernandez scored on a throwing error off of a bunt from Meagan Gourdeau to give Peachtree Ridge a 1-0 win over Eagle's Landing on Thursday night in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic at Grayson High School.
Jackie Samuels (2-0) struck out 10 while allowing five hits and one walk earning the win for the Lions (2-0). Jackie Gonzalez was 2-for-3 while Rhea Taylor added another hit for Peachtree Ridge, who will face Grayson tonight at 7 p.m. at Grayson.
Mill Creek 6, Central 0
HOSCHTON - Mill Creek starter Katy Hackett went six innings Thursday night, striking out nine and allowing no hits as the Hawks blanked Central Gwinnett 6-0 in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic at Mill Creek.
Kristen Kozma led the offense for Mill Creek (2-0) with a 2-for-3 night and three RBIs. Morgan Bullock added a hit and two RBIs while Maggie Davis finished 2-for-3 with an RBI. Mill Creek (2-0) will host North Gwinnett tonight at 7 p.m.
Dacula 5, Heritage 3
DACULA - Dacula improved to 2-0 on the season as the Falcons defeated Heritage 5-3 in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic on Thursday night at Dacula.
Alanna Hadley allowed three hits and two earned runs with seven strikeouts for the win while going 3-for-3 with two RBIs and a run. Dixie Stewart added two RBIs and a run by going 1-for-2. Dacula will host St. Pius tonight at 7 p.m.
Grayson 3, Eastside 1
GRAYSON - Mandi Burns (2-0) allowed just one unearned run over six innings with two walks and one hit in helping Grayson to a 3-1 win over Eastside on Thursday night in the South Gwinnett Diamond Classic at Grayson.
Amanda Hutcheson was 1-for-3 with a run for the Rams (2-0) while Shannon Bear and Mallory Johnson each scored once. Melissa Davis finished 2-for-3 with an RBI while Shelley Bender drove in one run and Nichole Payne went 1-for-3.
Flowery Branch 1
FLOWERY BRANCH - Buford pitcher Jesse Groves allowed two hits with seven strikeouts over seven innings as the Wolves opened their season with a 2-1 win over Flowery Branch on Thursday night.
Groves also was 2-for-3 with a double and a run while Shannon Wilson was 2-for-4 and Nichole Bell finished 1-for-3 with an RBI.
Collins Hill sweeps three schools in season opener
SUWANEE - Collins Hill opened its season Thursday night by sweeping Peachtree Ridge (25-8, 25-9), Clarke Central (25-16, 25-13) and Pace (25-8, 25-23) .
Katie Winschel led the attack with 17 kills while Samantha Lum finished with 13 and Jessica Davies added 11. Setter Kelsey Foster dished out 18 assists while Raven Tirado chipped in with 11 assists and 10 digs.
Hebron opens season with three wins
WATKINSVILLE - Hebron topped North Oconee (25-16, 24-26, 25-19), Jackson County (25-20, 25-20) and Monroe Area (22-25, 25-12, 25-16) Thursday night to kick off its 2005 season.
Amy Herald served three aces and delivered 19 kills for the Lions while Kathleen Griffin added three aces and 20 digs.
