Karen Joan Kerr Blee, age 60 of Lilburn, GA went to be with her Heavenly Father on August 9, 2005. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, John J. Blee; daughter and son-in-law, Carollyn and Nicholas Jacobs of Woodstock; sons and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Jessica Blee of Charlotte, NC, Jimmy Blee of Lilburn; brother and sister-in-law, David and Beth Kerr of Port Jervis, NY; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and beloved labs, Belle and Maggie. Karen was a special education teacher at the North Metro Center at Bethesda Elementary School, who passionately loved the children she taught. She was a part of the family at Smoke Rise Baptist Church for many years, and dearly loved her friends in the “Spares & Pairs” class. Karen was a follower of Jesus, whose life was defined by the many lives she touched. She was a beloved wife, mother, and soon-to-be-grandmother. A Celebration of the Life of Mrs. Karen Joan Kerr Blee will be held Friday, August 12 at 11 am at Smoke Rise Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Moates and Rev. Ernie Forrester officiating. Interment at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2 until 4 and 6 until 9 pm at the funeral home.
