Eddie Murphy's wife of 12 years files for divorce

LOS ANGELES - Actor-comedian Eddie Murphy's wife filed for divorce Friday, citing irreconcilable differences, his publicist confirmed.

Murphy and his wife, Nicole, married in 1993 and have been separated since July. They have four daughters and one son, ages 3 to 15, according to divorce papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Pamela Anderson being sued

LOS ANGELES - Former "Baywatch" star Pamela Anderson is being sued for breach of contract for allegedly not making herself available for promotional events.

United Licensing Group Inc., which is arranging for the manufacture of the star's perfume, clothing and other merchandise, claims Anderson has not been sufficiently available at signings, shoots and trade shows, according to a Superior Court lawsuit filed Thursday.

Fire destroys Marie Osmond's garage, office

OREM, Utah - A fire at the home of entertainer Marie Osmond destroyed a garage and her office above it, her husband said. There were no injuries.

"We were very blessed," Brian Blosil told Salt Lake City television station KSTU.

The fire started Friday night in the garage, while Blosil was napping with one of the couple's eight children upstairs. He said he heard the other children screaming about a fire.

'Suge' Knight fined after arrest

BARSTOW, Calif. - Death Row Records founder Marion "Suge" Knight was fined $691 after pleading no contest to making an illegal U-turn and driving without insurance, authorities said. A marijuana possession charge was dismissed.

Knight, 40, was jailed for more than a week after his arrest Feb. 5, and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department said at the time that marijuana was found in the pickup truck he was driving.

Prosecutors agreed to drop a drug possession charge after finding insufficient evidence to support it, said James Hill, supervisor of the district attorney's office in Barstow.
