Brookwood graduate Amanda Weir won a silver medal with the U.S. 400-meter medley relay team on Saturday at the FINA World Championships in Montreal. Weir swam the 100 freestyle anchor leg in 54.42 seconds as the U.S. foursome, which also included Natalie Coughlin, Jessica Hardy and Rachel Komisarz, was second in 3:59.92. Australia won the event in 3:57.47.
Weir, who trains at SwimAtlanta, won a bronze medal earlier in the meet in the 400 free relay.More like this story
