KENNESAW - North Gwinnett advanced to the second round of the Class AAAAA girls state playoffs with a 2-1 victory over Kennesaw Mountain on penalty kicks on Wednesday. The Bulldogs outscored the Mustangs 5-4 on kicks. Tori Carroll scored North's goal with the assist coming from Sam Au.
Milton 3, Grayson 0 ALPHARETTA - Grayson lost 3-0 to Milton in the first round of the Class AAAAA girls state playoffs on Wednesday. The Rams finish the season with an overall record of 10-5-3. Walton 2, Brookwood 1 MARIETTA - Brookwood was eliminated from the Class AAAAA girls state soccer playoffs with a 2-1 loss to Walton on penalty kicks. The Raiders outscored the Broncos 5-4 on kicks. Sam Diaz-Matosas scored the goal for Brookwood, which finishes the season with a 9-5-1 record. Harrison 3, Norcross 1 KENNESAW - The Norcross girls' season came to an end Wednesday night with a 3-1 loss to Harrison, the No. 2 team in Class AAAAA, in the first round of the state playoffs. The Blue Devils finish the year 8-5-3 and the Hoyas improve to 14-1-1. - From staff reports To report scores, call 770-339-5850.
