LAWRENCEVILLE - A 57-year-old Lawrenceville man was arrested Friday on five federal charges of possessing child pornography.
Samuel L. Summerville was taken into custody at the Huntcrest Publix off Old Peachtree Road in Lawrenceville by agents of the FBI's Safe Child Task Force and Gwinnett County Sheriff's deputies, said Stacey Kelley, spokeswoman for the Sheriff's department. Summerville was indicted Tuesday by a federal grand jury.
The Safe Child Task Force is an FBI-led coalition of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies that targets pedophiles, child molesters and the producers of child pornography.
