Kelley Aline Halpern, age 17 of Lawrenceville passed away on Monday, April 18, 2005 as a result of a car accident. Kelley was a member of the Varsity Tennis Team, a volunteer mentor at Lilburn Middle School, a member of the student volunteer committee, and Future Business Leaders of America. She was also a Civil War buff and her career goal was to be a Meteorologist. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Edgar Grant McFarland of Oceanside, CA. She is survived by her: parents: Dan & Tracy Halpern; brother: Matthew Halpern all of Lawrenceville; grandmother: Carol McFarland of Oceanside, CA; grandparents: Peter & Diana Halpern of Anthony, NM; aunts & uncles: Elizabeth Corp of Marietta, GA; Michael Halpern of El Paso, TX; Jane & Robert Myers of Baltimore, MD; Narda McFarland of Oceanside, CA; Janet & Steve McCurdy of Milton Keynes, England; David Halpern of Las Cruces, NM; Laura McFarland of Reston, VA; cousins: Nicole and Natalie Eidschun of Oceanside, CA; Timothy, James & Jonathan McCurdy of Milton Keynes, England. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel with Pastor Tom Morris officiating.
