A pair of local wrestlers have been honored as members of the Georgia Wrestling Coaches Association's Dream Team, an all-state squad touting the top wrestlers in each weight class regardless of their school's classification.
Tyler Parker, the Daily Post's Wrestler of the Year, is on the team as is Peachtree Ridge's Kendall Albert, a freshman who burst onto the state scene this past season.
Parker, who has signed with Stanford University, is the first wrestler to win four straight titles in Class AAAAA. He went 54-0 as a senior, claiming the state title at 135 pounds.
Albert went 65-2 as a freshman, winning state at 119 pounds.
The association also announced two other awards, with Bud Hennebaul being named the Bill Venable Man of the Year and Alpharetta High School's Stephen Roos earned the Kyle Maynard Tough Man Award, an award named after the former Collins Hill wrestler.
Hennebaul, who wrestled at Parkview and the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga, is one of the top wrestling referees in the state.
