SNELLVILLE - Kellan Chrisman had three hits, including a home run, and three RBIs to pace the Shiloh Generals in a 12-2 win over visiting Meadowcreek on Wednesday.
Antonio Callaway added two hits and three RBIs for the Generals, who pounded out 15 hits as a team. Chris Heppner, Jordan Oates, Mikey Mixon and Douglas Shilling all had two hits each for Shiloh, which is now 3-10 on the season and 1-0 in Region 8-AAAAA. Drew Freeman got the win on the mound for the Generals, pitching four innings and allowing one unearned run and three hits, while striking out seven. BASEBALL Brookwood 9, Berkmar 3 SNELLVILLE - Anders Oster hit a three-run homer, helping Brookwood to a 9-3 win over visiting Berkmar on Wednesday night. It was the Region 8-AAAAA opener for both teams. Matt Dauphinee (3-0) picked up the win for the Broncos, who improved to 6-5. P.J. Pilla was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. GAC 4, Dawson Co. 3 NORCROSS - David Shida had the game-winning RBI single in the eighth inning as Greater Atlanta Christian won an important region game 4-3 against Dawson County on Wednesday. Ryan Griffin pitched two innings of relief, allowing only one hit, to earn the win for the Spartans (6-8, 3-4). Landon Bennett was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored, Lee Chapple had a two-run home run and Jason Cunningham added two hits for GAC. Providence 7, Lumpkin Co. 0 LILBURN - Joe Hammond pitched a complete game, giving up three hits and striking out six batters as Providence Christian Academy defeated Lumpkin County 7-0 on Wednesday. Ryan Woods was 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Zane Stephens had two hits and two RBIs, Braden Langley added a double and two RBIs and Andy Vess chipped in with two hits and two runs scored for the Stars (11-2, 5-1). Wesleyan 15, Rabun Co. 1 TIGER - Adam Johnson gave up one hit in five innings, earning the win as Wesleyan defeated Rabun County 15-1 on Wednesday. Tony Plagman went 3-for-4 with four RBIs for the Wolves (6-3, 5-1). Ty Johnson was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Michael Hutts added a double and three RBIs in two at-bats. Buford 12, East Hall 1 GAINESVILLE - Cory Allen was 2-for-5 with a three-run home run as Buford defeated East Hall 12-1 on Wednesday. Mark Swanson gave up three hits and struck out four batters to earn the win for the Wolves (12-1, 7-0). Matt Hahn was 2-for-4 with two RBIs, Jarrod Thomas had two hits and two runs scored and John Macolino added two hits in four at-bats for Buford. Norcross 3, Forsyth Central 2 NORCROSS - Tyler Smith scored from second base, in the final inning, on a pick-off attempt that went into the outfield and Norcross edged Forsyth Central 3-2 Wednesday. Matt Suma pitched three innings to earn the win for the Blue Devils (13-2). BOYS SOCCER Wesleyan 3, Whitfield Academy 2 MABLETON - Matt Waite scored two goals, helping Wesleyan win its first game of the season 3-2 over Whitfield Academy on Wednesday. Peter Karempelis added a goal for the Wolves (1-9), and Cody Scott assisted on all three goals. Duluth 0, Peachtree Ridge 0 SUWANEE - Duluth and Peachtree Ridge played to a 0-0 tie in the Spring Break Power Cup tournament at Collins Hill on Wednesday. North 1, Clarke Central 1 SUWANEE - North Gwinnett and Clarke Central played to a 1-1 tie at the Spring Break Power Cup at North Gwinnett on Wednesday. Korey Daigle scored the goal for the Bulldogs (3-7-2). GIRLS SOCCER Wesleyan 1, Athens Academy 1 NORCROSS - Wesleyan and Athens Academy played to a 1-1 tie on Wednesday. Meaghan Brantley scored the goal for the Wolves (6-4-1, 2-0), and Chloe Kelly added the assist. Peachtree Ridge 1, Duluth 1 SUWANEE - Peachtree Ridge and Duluth played to a 1-1 tie in the Spring Break Power Cup tournament at Collins Hill on Wednesday. Amy French scored the only goal for the Lions (5-4-2). North 6, Clarke Central 0 SUWANEE - North Gwinnett defeated Clarke Central 6-0 at the Spring Break Power Cup at North Gwinnett on Wednesday. Samantha Au scored four goals for the Bulldogs (7-4-2) with Allison Card and Ellie McGinley both adding a goal. BOYS GOLF Woodward Academy 160, Wesleyan 177 ATLANTA - Woodward Academy defeated Wesleyan 160 to 177 at the Wolf Creek Golf Club on Wednesday.
