Woman wakes to home intruder

DULUTH - A woman awoke on Saturday to find an intruder sneaking into her Saratoga Springs apartment on Pleasant Lake Village Lane.

The woman was waking from a nap at 4 p.m. when she heard her door opening, according to a police report. An unidentified Hispanic male wielding a screwdriver demanded money from the victim.

He then asked her to follow him into the hall. The suspect appeared to be looking for a way out when he walked into a roommate's bedroom, police reports stated. The victim slammed the roommate's door behind him and ran outside to seek help. Police arrived to find the intruder had fled.

Man exposes himself to girl

NORCROSS - An unidentified white male allegedly drove up to a 4-year-old girl on Edward Street on Friday and exposed his genitals to her.

The suspect was driving a white Dodge Intrepid with four doors. The girl was playing near her grandmother's house at about 4:30 p.m. when the car pulled up next to her. The driver rolled down the window and exposed himself, police reports stated.

The girl ran away to her grandmother's house. There were no suspects at the time of the report.

Parkview students charged with theft

LILBURN - A Parkview High School student was arrested Wednesday for driving a stolen car to school, according to police reports.

Police were patrolling the parking lot because two other stolen cars recently had been recovered at the high school. While near the field house, an officer spotted a stolen 2004 Toyota Camry. A video surveillance camera from that morning showed a student wearing a jersey park the vehicle at 7:13 a.m. before proceeding to class.

Police staked out the vehicle and arrested the suspect when he returned to the car at 2:15 p.m. with a friend. Brandon Everett King, 18, of Stone Mountain, and Alfred Bernard Boyd IV, 18, of Lilburn, were charged with theft by receiving.
