Mr. Ernest Lee Ward, age 67, of Sugar Hill, GA passed away on November 1, 2004. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Teresa Ward. Surviving are: Wife of 48 years: Nancy Ruff Ward, Sugar Hill, GA. Daughter & Son-in-Law: Annette and Calvin Ashworth, Commerce, GA. Sons and Daughter-in-Law: Michael Lee Ward, Flowery Branch, GA, Scott and Susie Ward, Flowery Branch, GA. Grandchildren: Jason Ashworth, Holly and Dave Reed, Connie Ward and James Ward. Mother: Mrs. Dora Ward, Dierks, AK. Six Brothers and three sisters. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Ward was a native of Howard County, Arkansas. He was employed for the last 11 years with the City of Sugar Hill Street Department. He was a member of the Buford Masonic Lodge 292 F.A.M., and was a member of the West Buford Baptist Church. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Arthur Southerland and Rev. Jerry Bennett officiating. Interment in Woffords Cross Road Baptist Church Cemetery in Cartersville, GA on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Arrangements by Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA. 770-932-1133.
