Daniel F. McCarthy, Jr., age 87 of Dacula, died Saturday, December 18, 2004. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at 7:00 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. Mr. Mike Berardo will officiate. Mr. McCarthy is survived by his wife, Mary McCarthy, Dacula; Son and Daughter In-law, Edward F. and Katharine McCarthy, Dacula; Granddaughter, Carol Gibbs, Chattanooga, TN; Sister and Brother In-law, Noreen and Joseph Moran, Farmington, Connecticut. Mr. McCarthy was a native of Hartford, Connecticut and had lived in the area the past 6 months. He was a Navy Veteran of W.W.II where he served on the USS Wichita as a radio operator.
