Joe Plunkett, age 81 of Buford died Tuesday, December 14, 2004. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, December 17, 2004 in the Chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home & Crematory, Buford. Elder Bobby Loudermilk and Elder Ed Vickers will officiate. Burial Ivy Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Buford. A native of Gwinnett County, Mr. & Mrs. Plunkett were married for almost 59 years. He was honorably discharged on July 31, 1946 as a Corporal in the 1385th Army Air Force Base Unit and an Army Veteran of WWII. He was a 1941 Graduate of Lawrenceville High School. Mr. Plunkett is survived by: Wife: Marie Plunkett, Buford; Daughter & Son-in-law: JoAnn & Ed Chambers, Flowery Branch; Sons & Daughters-in-law: Ronnie & Gail Plunkett, Buford; Phil & Patricia Plunkett, Suwanee; Jeff Plunkett, Buford; Sister: Sue Haney, Buford; Grandchildren: Sharee Ayers, Chris & Kevin Smith, Michael Pikaart, Crystal Marie Capell, Jesse Plunkett, Eddie, Darus & Aaron Plunkett, Echo Plunkett, 14 Great Grandchildren, Several Nieces & Nephews. Family will receive friends all day, Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home and Crematory, 201 Morningside Drive, Buford, Georgia 30515. 770-945-9345.
