LETTERS: Does 80 percent of Gwinnett back Hustler?
Last Updated: 7:24 PM 03/12/10 - My disgust at the news this week that Hustler Magazine had requested crime scene photos of Meredith Emerson under the Open Records Act was rivaled only by my disgust at the implication from your March 11 “Word on the Street” question that most of your readers think the request should be honored. LETTERS: Gwinnett Arena shines brighter than other venues around Atlanta

Last Updated: 7:23 PM 03/12/10 - It has been the greatest pleasure attending events at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Over the years since the arena was built, we have been to at least five big concerts there, and it has always been amazing just how the traffic is controlled, moved in and around the parking zones, and directed out after these events. Last Updated: 7:22 PM 03/12/10 - In today’s gloomy reality, Partnership Gwinnett is absolutely a shining light in our community, with the community improvement districts coming in a close second. We all know that the tides eventually will turn, but the efforts of Partnership Gwinnett, a Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce project, are going to bring that ship turning around much faster. Also keeping us ahead of the curve is the continual progress being made by Gwinnett County’s three CIDs. (Full Story)
LETTERS: Commissioners not hearing voters

Last Updated: 6:08 PM 03/09/10 - Apparently, the Board of Commissioners just doesn’t get it. Despite the public uproar and the lawsuits, the commissioners are persisting in implementing a variation of a solid waste collection plan that most folks in Gwinnett County just don’t want. (Full Story)

LETTERS: Trash plan leaves hole in fee responsibility
1 Comment
Last Updated: 8:59 PM 03/05/10 - In the article “Officials adopt new trash plan,” (March 3, Page 1A), it states “every home habitable will be subject to the service — even if vacant — with charges coming on county tax bills.” (Full Story)
LETTERS: Residents want to keep choosing own haulers
0 Comments
Last Updated: 4:43 PM 03/05/10 - It’s hard to put a smiley face on the Board of Commissioners’ bad decision to dictate who’ll pick up our garbage and how much we’ll pay. I know government is good at saving money, but I’d like to choose my own trash hauler. If I need help carrying it to the street, I’ll give you a call. (Full Story)
LETTERS: Freedom of choice includes our trash

Last Updated: 4:41 PM 03/05/10 - Once again our elected commissioners have gone against the wishes of their constituents and will be sticking us with a very controversial trash plan. The commissioners don’t seem to get it. (Full Story)
LETTERS: Linder a great servant and will be missed

Last Updated: 8:49 PM 03/04/10 - Thanks to Rep. John Linder for his service over the past years. John is one of the few politicians who made it a point to listen to those that supported him. His town hall meetings and e-mail site were always an open forum. (Full Story)
