BRASELTON — Local 3-year-old Maggie Sue Romeo’s smiling face will appear on the cover of Parenting Magazine.
The Braselton beauty was named the winner of the Beautiful Baby Search on “LIVE! with Regis and Kelly” Friday morning.
Maggie Sue and her parents Frank and Dana Romeo appeared on the live morning broadcast, where the cover was revealed.
“I was surprised. It was quite a shocker,” Dana Romeo said.
Maggie Sue was most interested in the balloons released when she won, and she proclaimed to her mother, “That’s me on my magazine.”
The toddler will take home a $125,000 college scholarship, along with a supply of Gerber apple juice and her favorite puffs.
Dana Romeo said she told her daughter, “Now you’ve got to study hard and learn your ABCs so you can go to college.”
After the whirlwind trip to New York this week, after Maggie Sue made the top five, the family left for home just hours after getting the grand prize.
“We are ready to be home,” Dana Romeo said.
