COMMUNITY CONNECTION: Lt. Scott Dakin

Last Updated: 2:09 PM 03/05/10 - Raised on a dairy farm outside Toronto, Lt. Scott Dakin, 43, spokesman of Barrow County Emergency Services, has fought “whoos fires” in Barrow County since the mid-90s. The gregarious dual citizen embraces cultural differences, enough so that he’s christened his 19-foot Stingray boat the “Eh Y’all.” In teaching kids, he favors the “get ewwt, stay ewwt” philosophy over Stop, Drop and Roll. He calls the South a personal blessing.
